Trustee
Ref: 505204
Organisation: United Kingdom Talibé Project
Salary: voluntary
Location: England / East of England
Type: Trusteeship Part Time
Closing Date: 13/09/2010
Closing Time: 23:30

About the role

As a trustee, your job will be to govern the charity and to be responsible for overseeing the management and administration of the organisation, in order to UKTP to be managed effectively in accordance with UKTPs mission statement.

Your focus will be on the strategic direction of the charity and you will not be involved in the day to day decision making process of the charity.

UKTP is looking to recruit trustees from the local (Norwich and Norfolk) professional and business sector with skills in management, financial administration and/or the law. Previous experience working with third sector organisations would be an advantage but it is not a prerequisite. Applications from those with West African Heritage or links are particularly welcome.

There will be a general annual meeting and bimonthly meetings that you will be expected to attend. Each meeting will last between 1 and 3 hours. You should be committed to the principles and mission of UKTP.

Working as a trustee will give you the opportunity to use your professional skills to help develop UKTP and contribute to sustainable development projects around the world.

No agencies please. As an organisation we are committed to keeping costs down, which is what our beneficiaries, supporters and staff expect of us. We have decided to manage this recruitment process without the assistance of recruitment agencies and simply ask that this decision is respected.
